Ellen M. Weintraut

Ellen M. Weintraut is the founder and owner of Northwest Immigration Law, PLLC, bringing more than 16 years of experience in federal immigration law. Licensed by the State of Oregon, she is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, allowing her to represent immigration clients nationwide. She focuses her practice on helping individuals and families navigate complex immigration matters with compassionate guidance and effective legal advocacy.

A Northwest Arkansas native, Ellen earned her Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law before beginning her immigration career with Immigration Counseling Service in Portland, Oregon. She later coordinated the litigation group at Gonzales, Gonzales & Gonzales before returning to Arkansas to establish Northwest Immigration Law, PLLC. She is an active member of the Oregon State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), serves as the AILA Liaison with the USCIS Field Office in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and has presented immigration law training at local, regional, and national conferences. Recognised twice as an Oregon Super Lawyers Rising Star, Ellen is also fluent in Spanish, enabling her to serve a diverse client community.
