Matthew Martorella

Matthew Martorella is a dedicated criminal defense attorney and former Deputy District Attorney for the 8th Judicial District in Larimer County. His experience on both sides of the courtroom gives him a unique perspective on how criminal cases are investigated, charged, and prosecuted. He understands the strategies prosecutors use and leverages that knowledge to build effective defenses for individuals facing criminal charges.

Matthew earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Prior to serving as a prosecutor, he gained legal experience in family law, medical malpractice, and personal injury, ultimately choosing to dedicate his career to criminal law.

During his time as a Deputy District Attorney, Matthew handled hundreds of criminal cases involving DUI, domestic violence, child abuse, sex offenses, and other misdemeanor and felony charges. His courtroom experience and commitment to ethical advocacy have given him a thorough understanding of Colorado's criminal justice system.
