Nicholas C. Romer

Nick grew up in Lansing, Michigan, and moved to West Michigan in 2004 to attend Grand Valley State University, where he played football for the Grand Valley Lakers and was a member of the team's 2005 National Championship squad. He went on to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, where he served as a Senior Associate Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review, competed as a member of the Moot Court National Team, and served as a Judicial Intern with the Barry County Trial Courts.

Prior to joining McDonald Pierangeli Macfarlane, PLLC, Nick was an associate with Jensen, DeHaan & Symko, P.C., where he practiced in Social Security Disability law before the Social Security Administration and United States District Courts — experience that gives him deep familiarity with the disability claims process from application through federal appeal. Nick earned his J.D. cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2013 and his B.S. in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Business, from Grand Valley State University. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and has been recognized by Super Lawyers for his work in Social Security Disability law.
